A SHORT LIFETIME OF MOTORS IN THE HIGH TEMPERATURE WELL SECTION
Nowadays, operators must dig deeper in oil and gas wells. Bottom hole temperatures, which become higher with well depth, can even exceed 200°C. These extreme conditions place special demands on the power section of the motor and its rubber elastomer. For example, most elastomers do not function when the temperature exceeds 160°C.
SGDF can develop custom rubber elastomers according to the market and the drilling application.
CORROSION OF ROTORS, RESULTING IN RUBBER CHIPS, AND NEGATIVE INFLUENCE OFWHICH LOWERS THE DRILLING PERIOD
The power section creates torque by converting the hydraulic power of the mud from the pump into mechanical energy. To do this optimally, the mud must flow cleanly through the entire well. At the point between the drill string and wall well, the bit nozzles are very easily blocked by rubber chips.

MOTORS SUITABLE FOR THE ROTARY STEERABLE SYSTEM
Recently, in directional well operations, more and more operators are using the Rotary Steerable System. This requires a special motor above RSS (MARSS) to run the RSS. Compared to common motors, MARSS motors can produce higher torque and slow rotary speeds.
SGDF provides motors with lower rotary speeds, high torques, easy passage into the hole, and good reliability.

Cutting the cost per feet is an everlasting topic for operators. The easiest way to reduce costs is to shorten the drilling period; that is, increasing the rate of penetration (ROP) and reducing the number of trips in and out.
